SSP Pulwama Tanushree-IPS Leads Public Outreach at Sangerwani; Assures Swift Resolution of Public Grievances
Sangerwani (Pulwama), April 11:
In a significant move to strengthen the police-public bond and address grassroots issues, the Pulwama Police organized a high-level ‘Public Darbar’ at Sangerwani today. The outreach program was chaired by SSP Pulwama, Ms. Tanushree (IPS), drawing massive participation from residents of various local villages.

Focus on Seasonal Migration and Verification
During the interaction, members of the Gujjar community raised critical concerns regarding their upcoming seasonal migration toward ‘dhokas’ in the Namblan axis. Their primary request was the timely verification of these seasonal dwellings to ensure a hassle-free transition.
SSP Tanushree patiently listened to the delegation and provided immediate assurance that the verification process would be expedited, ensuring that the community faces no administrative hurdles during their migration.
Justice for Families of Terror Victims
The darbar also provided a platform for the families of terror victims to voice their long-standing concerns, particularly regarding pending SRO cases. Acknowledging the sensitivity of these matters, the SSP assured the families that their cases would be pursued with higher authorities for an early and empathetic resolution. She reiterated that providing justice to the affected families remains a top priority for the administration.
Combating Drug Abuse and Promoting Peace
Addressing the gathering on social issues, SSP Pulwama delivered a strong message against the growing menace of drug abuse. She emphasized that while the police are taking strict action, the elimination of social evils requires a “collective responsibility” involving parents, teachers, and the entire community.

Community Vigilance: She urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with the police to maintain the hard-earned peace in the region.
Discrimination-Free Justice: The SSP highlighted that the police stand “shoulder to shoulder” with the public and are committed to addressing all daily-life issues without any discrimination.
Public Appreciation
The participants and local elders lauded the proactive outreach policy of SSP Pulwama. They expressed gratitude for the patient hearing given to their grievances, noting that such direct interactions build immense trust between the common man and the law enforcement agencies.
