Rajouri Road Accident: 18 Injured After Tempo Traveller Skids Off Road in Tralla
Rajouri | April 19: A major road mishap took place on the Darhal–Rajouri route on Sunday, leaving at least 18 passengers injured. The accident occurred near the Crusher Morh area in Tralla when a tempo traveller reportedly lost control and veered off the road.
Details of the Incident
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK02AG-5946, was heading towards its destination when the driver lost grip, causing the vehicle to plunge into the adjoining fields. Local residents and emergency services rushed to the spot immediately to initiate a rescue operation. All 18 occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries during the crash.
Medical Response and Condition of the Injured
The victims were quickly transported to the Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital, Rajouri. Medical authorities have confirmed the following:
Total Casualties: 18 persons injured.
Critical Condition: 4 passengers are in serious condition and have been moved to a specialized ward for intensive care.
Emergency Alert: The hospital administration has placed the emergency wing on high alert to prioritize the treatment of the victims.
Official Statements
MLA Thanamandi, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, visited the hospital to monitor the situation. Speaking to the media, he expressed relief that there were no fatalities and directed the hospital staff to ensure the best possible medical assistance for the injured.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Malikzada Sheraz-ul-Haq, also briefed about the situation, stating that the doctors are closely monitoring every patient. Any decision regarding the referral of critical patients to Jammu will be taken based on the doctors’ assessment.
